2 x HOPE SANDOVAL & THE WARM INVENTIONS

Starting the week off with alternative indie dream pop band

:: HOPE SANDOVAL & THE WARM INVENTIONS ::

Who? What if I say the words 'Mazzy ' and 'Star '? As the bells ring on the former
lead singer of the alternative rock band, perhaps notably responsible for the
outstanding "Fade Into You" off the group's 1993 album "So Tonight That I
Might See ", who is joined by the founder member & drummer of alt rock
band "My Bloody Valentine ", namely the Irishman // Colm Ó Cíosóig //. Their
3rd album // Until the Hunter // is due out November 4th, so it seemed fitting
to sample a couple of tracks, beginning with // Let Me Get There // that turns
up the melancholic summer angst that makes me want to scan local ads for a
Volkswagen Camper to schlepp to windswept shores, with lines of boarded up
beach huts, & bobbing surfers wrapped warmly up in wet suits chasing the next
wave, in a track that features American singing songwriter // Kurt Vile //.
Continuing a theme of retro activity in the 9th track off the album // Isn't It
True //. At this point, I am inclined to agree, as the MV antiques life with a
suitable melodic backdrop, yet I'm awake, & my reality contains a little more
neon, but both samples are an indication of the quality to come. If you like
what you hear, the album is available to pre-order by following the link below:
