A couple of recent releases from de la pop funky U.S.A. band

:: MAGIC CITY HIPPIES ::

formerly hip hop cover group the "Robby Hunter Band", now merged with
"The Flying Bellesario Brothers", beginning with the energetic posture posing
MV for the single // Fanfare //. Guys, this one's for you. It makes me question
how long it will be before men get butt injections and lip plumpers, not to
mention appear with the same lack of clothing. Should we start a #getyourguykitoff
campaign? That aside, the track represents the group's personalities, packed with
a lively sense of teenage fun. From Miami, the sound is so beach radio that I kind
of like its relaxing simplicity, a vibe that transports over to the most recent of the
2 tracks to be released in // Heart Wants // with lyrics like: "You don't step into love,
honey, you fall in it..." I can't help thinking about something else right there but the
promise that we'll soon be 'drinking champagne out of a can ' wins me over. Their
musical style pricks the bubble of grey in your day, for sure. [Crack. Fzzzzz.] What!
No cork? Sigh. The tracks will appear on their next album, set for release, at a date
yet to be decided, early next year.
